AN INSURANCE SUMMARY
All bookings are automatically covered by our special travel insurance scheme which is included in the cost of the cruise.The insurance takes effect from the moment your deposits are paid. Shown below is a synopsis of the cover.A full statement of cover will be sent to party leaders when the booking is confirmed, or earlier on request, and of course the master certificate can be inspected at our offices.Cancellation cover applies as soon as the booking form and first deposits are received and other cover applies from the moment you leave the departure point, until your return.
1).Personal Accident
Death – £25,000 adults, £1,000 students under 16. Loss of one or more limbs, or one or both eyes, or permanent total disability from following any occupation – £25,000.
2).Medical and Associated Expenses
Sum insured up to £5,000,000.
3).Baggage and Personal Effects
Sum insured – up to £1,500. A limit of £250 on any item, pair or set; a limit of £250 on valuables. This section includes emergency purchases of essential items if your baggage is delayed for more than 12 hours – up to £150.
4).Personal Money
Sum insured – up to £500, cash limit of £300.
5).Personal Liability
Limit of liability – £2,000,000.
6).Loss of Deposit, Cancellation and Curtailment
Cover up to the cost of the holiday.
7).Travel Delay
Either (a) in the event of a full 12 hours delay – £50 per passenger and £25 for each subsequent 12 hours period up to maximum payment of £250,
for all legs of the journey. Or (b) if the delay on the outward journey exceeds 24 hours and you wish to cancel the cruise – up to the holiday cost.
8).Medical and Emergency Service
24 hours service supplied.
9).Important Notice – Excesses
All sections exclude up to the first £50 of each and every loss or claim for each insured person except Personal Accident, Hospital Benefit, Delayed Baggage and Travel Delay (a) which have no excess. This insurance is issued in accordance with the ABI Code of Conduct a copy ofwhich will be sent to you with your travel insurance certificate.
